TTT: Books That Were Hard for Me to Read

This week's TTT topic: Books That Were Hard for Me to Read

This can be interpreted several ways. I'm choosing to highlight books that were hard for me to read due to subject matter and/or because they put me outside of my comfort zone, but that I'm so glad I did.

  1. Between Shades of Gray was hard to read, but it was sooo good! I'm glad to see someone included it on their list. :)

  2. What about Where the Stars Still Shine made you put it on this list? I'm curious because that's one of my all time favorite books. I adore it. Otherwise your list is full of books I've been meaning to read for forever!

    Great list!

    1. I have a hard time with scenes of sexual abuse or assault no matter how circumspectly their done and my heart just broke for Callie, but Dollar did an amazing job telling her story no matter how hard.

    1. A Monster Calls is the most brilliant book featuring cancer ever written. (At least of the ones I've read.)

  4. Looks like I need to read Between Shades of Gray, Where the Stars Still Shine, Pointe and Yaqui Delgado. Because I loved/really liked all the other titles in your list!
